Visit Magical Leeds

Leeds Reindeer Trail, a festive collection of uniquely decorated reindeer placed around the city, will launch on 13 November 2014, offering visitors the chance to explore Leeds while discovering some of the citys favourite brands. With the likes of Thomas Sabo, Northern Ballet, Malmaison, Trinity Leeds and first direct Arena signed up, Leeds is set to have a reindeer herd like no other, from graffiti covered stags to sparkling golden does. Forming the perfect photo opportunity, wed love visitors to follow our reindeer trail map (downloadable via the Visit Leeds website from 01 November 2014) and share their reindeer selfies with us, using #MagicalLeeds to show off their favourite designs.

On top of this exciting new addition, the city has a superb programme of entertainment across a number of venues in the lead up to Christmas, perfect for an inspiring theatre break. Northern Ballet, Opera North and West Yorkshire Playhouse all in the centre of the city have a number of exciting seasonal performances, including Northern Ballets Peter Pan, Opera Norths The Coronation of Poppea and family friendly The Gruffalo, as well as fantastic theatrical productions at West Yorkshire Playhouse, including White Christmas, James and the Giant Peach and The Kite Runner.

Additionally, first direct Arena, another of the citys exceptional entertainment spaces and recently voted best new venue in the world at the Stadium Business Awards, is set to host an array of exceptional performances over the festive season. In November and December alone, first direct Arena will see the likes of John Bishop, WWE Live, Jack White, Kasabian, James Blunt, Bryan Adams, The Who, Alfie Boe, Michael Bubl and Andre Rieu take to the stage, meaning theres something for everyone this winter season, to make a visit to Leeds an experience to remember.

If getting the Christmas shopping done in plenty of time is a priority then look no further than Leeds. The citys exceptionally diverse retail offer, with everything from high-end designer boutiques in the Victoria Quarter to quirky independents at Leeds Corn Exchange and all the brand favourites in Trinity Leeds makes it the perfect destination to tick every family members Christmas list.

At the end of a tough day filled with retail therapy, visitors can enjoy the fabulous food and drink scene in the city. Trinity Kitchen offers the best street food from around the country, with new food trucks featured in the Kitchen each month, while Trinity Leeds other restaurants, which include Angelica, Crafthouse and The Alchemist, offer panoramic views over the citys skyline, sophisticated cocktails and extensive menus.
