Retail flurry in Bradford

The deals include Urban Chocolatier, Smiggle, Select, HMV, and Millie�s Cookies. Now 93% let, Meyer commented that the centre is in talks with a number of high profile international retailers, with the expectation that the remaining few units will be signed up in the coming months.

Broadway Bradford has signed international stationary retailer Smiggle for 542 sq ft (50 sq m) and the exclusive confectionary retailer Urban Chocolatier to open a 931 sq ft (86 sq m) store. For Urban Chocolatier, this marks the firm's first store outside of London and its third in the UK.

HMV will open a mezzanine of 7,950 sq ft (739 sq m) on the ground floor level next to Debenhams and the fashion retailer Select will take 3,552 sq ft (302 sq m) within Broadway Bradford. The nationwide cookie bakery Millie�s Cookies 258 sq ft (24 sq m) will also complement the centre�s retail tenant mix.

The deals follow a series of signings earlier this year, which includes the major 35,000 sq ft (3,252 sq m) cinema The Light and six other renowned retail and food operators such as Ann Summers, Pandora, Patisserie Valerie and Zizzi.
