Leeds City Region expands trade and investment team
Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has made a number of new team appointments, including a Director of Trade and Inward Investment, to deliver the LEP�s ambitious plans to drive increased international trade and inward investment in Leeds City Region.
David Shepherd has been appointed Director Trade and Investment, joining with extensive experience in both the public and private sector, including his most recent role with industrial services and developer Able UK Ltd. David has worked on a number of nationally significant industrial projects alongside influential business leaders and will now play a key ambassadorial role for Leeds City Region.
Roger Marsh OBE, Chair, Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, said:
�We are delighted to be welcoming David into the expanding LEP team to lead the Trade and Investment department. We have an ambitious business plan and we are confident that David will bring the strong commercial focus, deep understanding of the City Region�s assets and extensive experience of representing the region overseas, required to deliver tangible results and sustained economic growth for Leeds City Region.�
David Shepherd commented:

The trade and investment department also welcomes a Trade Policy Lead and two additional Business Development Executives to the team to support the delivery of the ambitious trade and investment business plan. The team will focus activity on key business sectors and international markets to drive increased investment, job numbers and economic growth.
