Next week, six organisations will be joining the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) at the 2020 Arab Health Exhibition and Congress in Dubai, the leading healthcare conference in the Middle East.
This is the third year the LEP has provided a platform for local medtech companies to gain a foothold in the Middle East and launch products. The delegation will meet buyers in this fast-growing market with the aim of increasing exports. The UAE trade show is the largest gathering of clinical and trade professionals across the Middle East and North Africa, attracting over 100,000 visitors.
The 2020 Arab Health presence, led by the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Medilink, includes business showcases and displays from a range of innovative businesses. This will include clinical software provider TPP, designer of apps to manage chronic health issues Itecho Health, manufacturer of hospital beds and equipment TitanMed, manufacturer of airway management equipment Kapitex Healthcare, healthcare solutions provider OneMedical Group and innovators of novel wound care fabrics the Technical Textiles Centre at the University of Huddersfield.
Roger Marsh OBE DL, Chair of the LEP and NP11 said:
“Following the success of our previous exhibitions at Arab Health we are delighted to be offering this opportunity to an entirely new group of local businesses. It provides a low risk way for companies to present products and services to new buyers. It’s more important than ever to break into new markets; the Gulf, Asian and North African healthcare markets are set for significant growth. Investment in healthcare infrastructure means they are actively looking to British companies to provide trusted, high quality products and we make those connections and introductions.”
Patrick Beggs, International Sales Manager, Kapitex Healthcare said:
“Q1 2020 will see Kapitex launch our new Laryngectomy system of products into key international markets. The GCC is of significant importance to our business. A strong presence at Arab Health is an essential component of our global sales and marketing strategy. Support from the LEP has allowed us to display our new product range to medical device distributors not just from the GCC but the wider MENA region. This will allow us to further build our network of international partners and grow our business in 2020.”
