Expansion and relocation of a medical precision engineering company
Brandon Medical, part of Brandon Group Limited, expanded its technical medical and precision engineering operations, moving to newly refurbished premises three miles away in Middleton.
Following the move, Brandon Medical benefitted from three times the space (49,500 sq.ft.) than its previous location, with capacity for further development to meet demand for potential further expansion.
Leeds City Council was very supportive of the planning process for the refurbishment of the building and the relocation involved selling our previous site in Middleton, as part of a redevelopment of the area. Leeds City Region is a key hub for medical and healthcare technologies with one of the largest hospitals in Europe located here. Key functions of the NHS and the Department of Health are based in the city, 80% of patient records are held here, there is a wealth of universities and the second biggest cluster of healthcare companies in the UK.
