UK’s largest Tech event welcomes participation from Hangzhou

Leeds Digital Festival is the largest Tech event in the UK and attracts attendees from around the world. A delegation of senior business and government leaders from Hangzhou participated in several events and explored opportunities for collaboration projects.

A delegation from Hangzhou visited Leeds City Region to attend the Leeds Digital Festival. Attendees included representatives from the Hangzhou Geely Automobile, Zhejiang Xizi Aircraft Components and senior government who learnt about investment and collaboration opportunities between the two regions.

Director of the Leeds Digital Festival Stuart Clark led presentations and was joined by representatives from the region’s digital sector including Bjss, AQL, Aeroservices, Market Gravity and the Open Data Institute Leeds.

Opportunities were then explored in a meeting with Leeds City Council and Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

The delegation also visited the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics and Nexus, the University of Leeds’ new business innovation centre which provided the opportunity for networking with leading digital academics.

Leeds Digital Festival is the largest of its kind in the North spanning over 2 weeks and delivers over 240 events across the region.
